Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
(Listening): Demonstrate understanding of straightforward information about everyday, study-or work-related topics both general messages and specific details.
(Speaking): Use language to give clear descriptions; express viewpoints; explain why something is a problem; and develop arguments without much conspicuous searching for words.
(Reading): Differentiate kinds of texts at different speeds; identify the main points and conclusions in texts which clearly argue a point of view.
(Grammar): Show relatively high degree of grammatical control and do not make mistakes which lead to communication breakdowns.
(Writing): Write letters and emails; compose a multi-paragraph essay; construct a chain of reasoned arguments and speculate about causes, consequences and hypothetical situations.
(Interpersonal Skills & Responsibility): Show the ability to act responsibly and ethically in carrying out individual as well as group projects.
